The Kato N Scale ready-to-run Gunderson MAXI-I 5-Unit Well Car is a multi-unit well car designed to carry two stacked intermodal shipping containers. While its base well is 40′. it can accept larger containers such as 45′. 48′ and even 53′ in the top position. making the car a versatile addition to a railroad’s intermodal services. The MAXI-I car with its five shorter platforms has a greater capacity even though the individual wells are a smaller size. The cars feature detailed bodies. authentic decoration. appropriate trucks with metal wheels and Kato magnetic knuckle couplers.

Each MAXI-I 5-Unit Well Car platform includes a pair of 53′ containers (10 per 5-unit set) with internal magnets for stability while the car is running on your layout.
